Lear 35A Registration ZS ARA

This is newest addition to our fleet, aquired in June 2008.

The Lear is an American built twin turbine jet-engine pressurised Jet Air Ambulance.

It operates at a cruising speed of 450 knots (850km/hr) at altitudes between 35 000ft - 45 000 ft
(11000 – 15000 m)

The aircraft has a range of 3 300kms and is therefore an effective medium to long range jet.

The aircraft is operated by two flight crew and two medical crew members. It is permanently configured with a single powered Lifeport™ system.

The Lear Jet 35A requires a runway length of only 1700 m at sea level.
